Enable 3.6 and .NET support

I've announced changes to 3.5 in order to release some bug fixes, as a 3.5.1 version. In the meanwhile PowerBuilder 12.5 has been published, so we have decided to release Enable 3.6 containing all bug fixes and a native engine for PB12.5 classic (3.5.1 will not be released). PB12.5 can be used already with Enable 3.5 by using the Obfuscated Engine (Full Obf or No Rex Obf) and performing a migrate.
Also, our team is working on a WPF Engine for PB12.5. It's almost ready to enter beta, and works with an application migrated from PB12.5 classic to PB12.5 WPF. It doesn't support yet Runtime Explorer and String Capturing, but we are working on this too.
Customers with Premium Support can partecipate to WPF beta: we will publish a protected download (ask for the password).

Aug 29  Preparing for 3.5.1
We are preparing version 3.5.1 to fix some bugs found during the past weeks. Here is the list of what is addressed:
- String Capture window: the engine is currently capturing too much, sometimes a string is captured more than once, even if already into the ENA DB. However, during import the phrases are not duplicated.
- Log File Analysis window: a few problems with scrolling, filtering, deleting duplicated unrecognized phrases, and SCC interface when checking out objects for applying changes to source code (if objects are already checked out, changes are applied correctly)
- Translation Rules window sometimes leaves orphan records when deleting rows. To temporary solve the problem, you can create again a record into the control window (with the deleted parent name), save and reopen the window; then delete the record in the contexts window and confirm; then delete the record in the control window. Before deleting a row from the main datawindow, delete all children from the lower one: this will not leave any orphan records
- MenuItemText is nor extracted nor translated. To extract it's enough to edit the parser's rule file (change the SRM section adding menuitemtext)
- sometimes the Log File Analysis window doesn't allow to mark changes permanent. You can solve it by editing the Enable_Author.ini file (in your <Enable>\Tools folder). Search for [General] section, remove the DefaultMode key (it gives problems when the value is User)
Get in touch with us if you've found something else and you didn't open a ticket yet.
Thanks, GL

Enable Enterprise - Version 3 is coming!
makes PB applications multilingual

The current release (2.6) of Enable Enterprise, see above, already supports PB 11.5, including DW Tooltips.

Work on Version 3, the next major release, is far advanced with some exciting new features in the pipeline. In particular, the interface with Google Translation API will provide a rapid, first-pass translation of all your new strings (for the multitude of Google-supported languages), ready for human review. Corrections can be made efficiently, on the fly, using Enable Runtime Explorer 2.6.

In addition, Enable Enterprise Version 3 will be supplied with the source code (obfuscated) for Enable Engine, allowing easy deployment with Appeon and PB.NET (WinForms, WebForms). This represents an exciting advanced opportunity to make your migrated web applications multilingual! A beta version for Appeon is already available for qualified users.
